What We Do

When we clean crystal chandeliers we use a clean damp chamois to clean each crystal individually. We have gotten great results doing it this way for over twenty years. If anyone tells you a crystal chandelier can be cleaned with just a spray they are wrong. If anyone says they take off each crystal don’t hire them, because they will overcharge you. Some chandeliers have sconces over the light bulbs. In this case we do remove the sconce in order to clean it. When the chamois becomes dirty or too dry we rinse it thoroughly and continue. We also clean the light bulbs and replace any burned out ones. It’s up to the customer to provide new bulbs.

We clean windows professionally. That is to say we use squeegees, sponges, etc… We have different size squeegees for different size window panes. We use clean surgical towels to detail our work. We are constantly exchanging dirty towels for clean ones.

The two most common types of skylights are flat glass and plastic bubbles. We generally clean them inside and outside. However, we often give a separate price for inside and outside cleaning, because the inside does not get as dirty as the outside. It’s also common to charge more for the inside because it’s often more difficult. A typical scenario is to do the outside during each home cleaning and the inside every other cleaning, thus saving the customer some money.

We offer this service because we carry around lots of ladders and are used to climbing around people’s homes. We clean out the debris with our hands or a scooping tool, and put it in trash bags. We also clear the downspouts, if needed, as best we can, with a plumbers snake or by flushing water down them.

Many homeowners associations or management companies hire us to clean entire condominium complexes. In almost every case they hire us to clean the windows on the outside only. They then give our number out to all the tenants so they have the option of hiring us, at a separate charge, to do the inside of their windows.
